Board Actions

At its March and April meetings, the Board of Directors:

• Approved amendments to the 2006-07 Overall Work Program;
• Funded a SMUD hybrid-electric heavy-duty diesel vehicle;
• Released the draft 2007-08 Overall Work Program for public comment;
• Approved amendments to the 2007/10 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program and the accompanying air quality conformity determination;
• Approved a list of projects for the 2006 State Transportation Improvement Program Augmentation and other regional programming;
• Approved a revised schedule for the Metropolitan Transportation Plan for 2035;
• Approved state budget position opposing recution of state transist assistance, supporting protection of gasoline sales tax under Proposition 1A and asking for continuing budget authority to allow funding of STIP projects delivered early; and
• Participated in workshops on Environmental Justice Outreach for the Metropolitan Transportation Plan, the Sacramento Regional Transit Community Survey, and the Metropolitan Transportation Plan for 2035.
