Liz Baidoo has accepted an opportunity to use her community outreach skills in the private sector for VSP, the largest eye care coverage provider in America. Liz worked for SACOG in the Communications Department since 2000.
During her tenure at SACOG, Liz was the lead public involvement coordinator for the Sacramento Region Blueprint Project since its inception in 2001. She oversaw more than 40 workshops and forums, and coordinated production of informational videos, publications and web content. She worked closely with public and private partners through the implementation of the Blueprint Preferred Scenario, and was most recently performing Environmental Justice analysis and public education for the Metropolitan Transportation Plan for 2035.
Luz María Rodríguez joined SACOG in February as a Public Information Coordinator. As a member of the Communications staff, she will help communicate with hard-to-reach communities and the general public.
Prior to working at SACOG, Luz María was a Marketing Specialist for California Project LEAN for six years, where she oversaw implementation of an osteoporosis prevention campaign, developed outreach materials, coordinated community events and translated campaign materials into Spanish. Luz María also has a background in television and radio news. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Davis in Journalism and Spanish.
