SACOG's
Transportation Funding Handbook lists
the many different sources of transportation funding and how the different
funding programs are administered.Caltrans has produced a similar
guidebook, Transportation
Funding Opportunities: State and Federal Funds Available for Local Agency
Projects, which also details the variety of sources for funding
transportation projects. Caltrans maintains a separate web page exclusively for
transportation
programming. Caltrans has summarized many of the important and relevant (to
project delivery) aspects of
California Assembly
Bill 1012 (AB 1012). SACOG will be maintaining a list of projects that are important
to the region and which may qualify for federal earmarks. A
list was approved by the SACOG Board on January
16, 2003. The U. S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportaton
and Infrastructure, Subcommittee on Highways and Transit has requested that
that information about projects that are proposed to them be submitted on a
specific form. The form is available in
Word Format. Many other government agencies are involved in transportation
planning, funding, programming, project delivery and air quality conformity.
