On March 20, 2008, SACOG's Board of Directors approved the Draft Final Metropolitan Transportation Plan for 2035 (MTP2035) after more than two years of extensive public input. The corresponding Environmental Impact Report (both Draft and Final) and Air Quality Conformity Determination are also available for review. In addition, the full press release is available.

A formatted Final MTP2035 is expected to be completed by June 2008.

The public comment period for the Draft MTP2035 and Draft EIR expired on December 20, and public comments received during that time are now available for review.

Transportation planners are working on a comprehensive plan for the region after broad public input from nearly 8,000 area residents at community meetings and workshops since 2005, region-wide surveys and focus groups, and direct feedback.

MTP2035 will invest $42 billion in the region's transportation system, proactively linking land use, air quality and transportation needs.

The Dialogue Continues 

The report "MTP Dialogue Continues: Community Involvement Phases III & IV" is now available in both electronic and print versions. This report outlines the community input SACOG received during Phases III & IV of the MTP Process. This includes the results from the TALL Order regional forum a, the KCRA 3 Roadmap to the Future electronic town hall, and public opinion research conducted on SACOG's behalf.
