SACOG Information CenterThe Information Center has data covering El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba Counties and the cities within each county. This web site contains only a small portion of the data that are available at the Information Center. If you do not find what you need on the site, give us a call, (916) 321-9000, or send us a question at info@sacog.org. Custom reports are available if our prepackaged reports and summaries do not have exactly what you need. If we don't have the data you're looking for, we may be able to refer you to another resource, such as www.MelissaData.com. What's Available at the Information CenterEstimates - Population, Housing and EmploymentHistorical estimates through January 1, 2001 of population, number of housing units, and employment by county, city, and smaller geographic areas. Population and Housing EstimatesCalifornia State Department of Finance Population and Housing EstimatesAnnual Population and Housing Unit data are available by county and jurisdiction. The estimates shown are not comparable to SACOG estimates as the methodologies are different. However, they may be of use. May 2008 - SACOG's small area estimates are in the process of being updated. Growth ForecastForecasts for growth of the region's population, housing stock and employment. May 2008 - SACOG's draft small area forecasts are in the process of being updated. DRAFT population, housing and employment numbers for years 2013, 2018 and 2035 are expected to be available at the County, Regional Analysis District (RAD) and Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ) level only by summer 2008. Census DataA wide range of 2000 Census Data for the Region's counties, cities, and small areas down to Census Tracts and Block Groups. (Including information such as household income levels, automobile ownership, and ethnic backgrounds, among many other items.) MapsThe SACOG Mapping Center produces a variety of maps including Census Tract Outline Maps and Census Block Maps. Additionally maps are produced for Regional Analysis Districts, and other geographic areas. Census Data AvailableIn addition, you can find a wealth of detailed demographic information about a particular locale by visiting the U.S. Census Bureau and searching for data on an address, census tract, or region. |
